Pros: Looks great, premium feelingThe case charges the buds fairly quicklyEasy to pair and use – touch controls work nicelyFits in my ears properly and securely (will vary person to person, however)Achieves the rated 4 hrs runtime – I actually got just over that my first time at 4:08Charging case has a strong magnet to hold the buds in if dropped and easily fits into any pocket Cons: Very very bass heavy. Slightly muted mids and very bad tinny highs. Overall a very narrow soundstage. Primarily my reasoning for 3 eggs instead of 4.No off ear detection – so these will keep playing music when removed from your ear and even if placed back in the charging case. Only stops playing music when buds are in the case and it is closed.Charging – when I received these I just plugged the case with the buds inside and waited until the case was fully charged before pairing the buds and putting them in my ears to evaluate them. When I first took them out and got them paired my phone told me the buds had 33% remaining. Within 5 minutes they showed 15%. So I guess the case doesn’t charge the buds at all if it is plugged in? The L and R lights do not light up when charging, so in order to charge the buds you have to unplug the charging case and then open and close it. Then the L and R lights come on showing the buds are now charging. Overall Review: It’s weird that the case with my unit doesn’t charge the buds when plugged in. But that can really be overlooked. I just couldn’t get over how -not good- the sound was with these buds. I have a few other ‘lower end’ buds as well as the original galaxy buds and the new galaxy buds pros. Obviously these are in the price bracket that they are and it’s unfair to compare them to the higher end models, but even compared to a similar lower end model at a similar price point I get interchangeable silicone tips for secure and proper fit as well as a better more balanced sound, but those do feel cheap compared to these rosewill buds. “There are never bad products, only bad pricing” – I would wait for these to be on sale if this is the look you are wanting and can live with the sound.

Pros: Sound :(SEE pros and cons) These earbuds are on the brighter side, with very pronounced mids and highs. For podcasts and acoustic or instrumental music these sound decent. There is almost a metallic sound. Case: The case is really nice. The magnetic lid keeps it closed and each bud stays in place while storing and charging. The external LEDs show when each bud is charging and current case charge. This is an easy “toss in your bag and go” case. The case also holds a very long charge and will recharge the buds several times over. Build: The earbuds are very sturdy and feel solid, almost a metal feel. Cons: Sound: While these have decent mid and high range, it also sounds a bit edgy and some music just sounds off. The bass is also very muddy, when there is bass. It felt music that should have distinctive lows it was absent, or just a bit sloppy. Mic: The microphone in these earbuds is a real disappointment. I typically have several long duration calls in a given day and have been using 10 year old wired earbuds with inline mic. When using these for calls I was told I sound like an astronaut in space or across the room. I consider the mic useless in these buds. Fit: This was my BIGGEST issue. They are very hard buds with nothing soft about them or adjustment possible. One of my ears started to get sore after a few hours of wear. It was even sore the next day when wearing them and noticed my other ear was pretty sensitive. I had to put them down for several days before I tried them, again and after less than an hour both ears were throbbing sore. For me this was a complete deal breaker. However, this is going to depend on your anatomy. Touch controls: The touch controls are very…touchy. I found it easier to simply control them via my phone. Pairing: I had difficulty getting these to pair with my phone(Pixel 4a 5G). The left bud would pair, but the right would not quite pair correctly. Once I got past the initial pair they were typically ok. I’ve had a few occurrences where the right bud does not turn on when pulling it from the case and I need to hold the touch control to turn on. Battery life: These buds last me 3.5-4 hours before powering down, not quite the 4-5 hours listed. Overall Review: Overall: These buds caused a lot of discomfort to wear after a few hours and only got worse the next day. The microphone is very lackluster and the touch controls and pairing are a bit funky to deal with. While the case has long battery life, the earbuds themselves seems to die off just shy of their advertised play time. The sound reproduction is best on the mid and high side, though a little edgy. The Bass is inconsistent and muddy. Overall, for the price you are getting OK sounding earbuds that should be great on the go if you don’t have discomfort wearing them like I did.

Pros: – Solid feel – both the earbuds and the case. Earbuds fit in snug and charge when you close the case. – Polished, clean look. – Small footprint compared to some that look like huge lug nuts sticking out of your ears. – Audio so far has not had a lot of “dropouts” like some I’ve owned. – Pair easily. – Decent range… left my phone upstairs, went downstairs and outside before losing signal. – For running, these stay in my ears well and don’t have to fiddle with them as much as others with rubber flanges. – They do last 4 hours on a charge (although they are still new – time will tell if that holds in a year or so). Cons: – Very average sound quality; very flat and almost muddy, as someone else mentioned. Needs the bass and treble boosted, and pull down the middle hertz range. I compared sound quality to my best set, and these were not even close. – Can cause a bit of an ear ache if you’re not used to this style. – “One size fits all” makes these not as snug and maybe even fall out of someone’s ears. They stay in mine, but they don’t block sound as well as ones with rubber flanges. And you can hear a huge amount of audio by just pressing them in a tiny bit. – The touch sensor is sooo sensitive. I was constantly hitting it, and it has a delay. And I’m not really getting used to both of those annoyances … yet. – The case is not pocket-friendly. You’ll know the difference when you have a case that is smooth and rounded. If you just keep it in a backpack or luggage, then this is no big deal. – Phone call quality is acceptable but not good. I wouldn’t use them on conference calls unless I was somewhere crowded and needed to (and didn’t have my go-to earbuds charged :-). Overall Review: I’ve owned 5 wireless earbuds in search of a “better” pair. These are middle of the road. I’ve had some that drop audio in one or both earbuds for no apparent reason. I had a pair in which one earbud just completely stopped working within a year. All the ones I’ve purchased ranged from $35-$55, so these ones are in that range too. This pair comes in above two of them, but below two others. These look really nice and feel solid, but the sound quality and the touch sensor diminish all the positives. I really wanted to like them more, but I will probably use them only as backups or for occasional runs. Maybe they’ll fix those issues in the next version.
