Lenovo Tab M7 Gen 3 Review: Efficient Entry-Level Tablet
Hello tech enthusiasts, today I’m bringing you a comprehensive review of the Lenovo Tab M7 Gen 3 – a tablet that has been making waves in the entry-level segment. Lenovo has been known for delivering functional and affordable tech, and the Tab M7 Gen 3 is no exception.
Design
The Lenovo Tab M7 Gen 3, as one might expect, is a simple yet aesthetically pleasing device. Its design is straightforward and practical – its slim, lightweight form makes it easy to handle, particularly for users who travel often. The aluminium back gives it a sturdy feel, dispelling any notions of a ‘cheap’ product. With its 7-inch display, it is comfortable to hold in one hand. The overall design speaks to the tablet’s main purpose – practicality and ease of use.
Display
The 7-inch IPS display comes with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels. Now, while this might not compare to higher-end tablets, it is more than enough for casual browsing, video streaming, and other daily tasks. The color reproduction is decent, and the viewing angles are satisfactory as well. However, in the era of Full HD and 4K, users looking for a higher resolution screen may be disappointed.
Performance
The Lenovo Tab M7 Gen 3 is equipped with a MediaTek MT8166 processor. Paired with 2GB RAM, it is suitable for basic tasks like browsing, checking emails, streaming content, and running light apps. It might not be the go-to choice for heavy gaming or running multiple demanding apps simultaneously, but it handles everyday tasks quite efficiently. The device runs on Android 10 Go Edition, which is a lighter version of Android designed specifically for devices with up to 2GB of RAM. This ensures smoother performance on entry-level hardware.
Battery Life
One of the high points of the Tab M7 Gen 3 is its battery life. The 3500mAh battery provides a fairly decent lifespan. With average use involving browsing, streaming videos, and using social media, you can expect to go a full day without needing a charge. However, intense usage might require a top-up during the day.
Camera
The Tab M7 Gen 3 sports a 2MP rear camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. These are suitable for video calls and taking occasional pictures, but the results aren’t exceptional. The cameras seem like an area where Lenovo could improve in future iterations, particularly given the growing importance of video calls in our daily lives.
Storage
The tablet offers 32GB of internal storage, with the ability to expand this via a MicroSD card. While 32GB may fill up fast if you’re downloading lots of apps or storing media, the option for expandable storage is a plus.
Value for Money
The Lenovo Tab M7 Gen 3 comes with a very appealing price tag for those looking for a basic tablet for daily usage. It offers decent performance, an acceptable display, good battery life, and satisfactory storage space – all wrapped in a neat, compact design. It certainly delivers value for its price point.
Verdict
In conclusion, the Lenovo Tab M7 Gen 3 is a solid entry-level tablet that gets the job done. If you’re on a tight budget, need a tablet for basic use, or are buying a first tablet for a child, it’s a strong contender. Its performance is appropriate for light use, and the design is appealing and practical.
However, if you’re after a device for heavy gaming or high-resolution video streaming, you might want to consider investing a little more money for a higher-end tablet. The Tab M7 Gen 3 has its limitations,

Pros: Wifi is 5 gig Bluetooth works well Excellent Display, bright, crisp and sharp Seems to process and work quickly, very little lag Handy Micro SD expansion slot Great size Good Price Point, Quality Item Cons: None yet.. Overall Review: I bought this to replace a old MP3 player for when I’m out mowing my yard, it’s a good side yard and takes a couple of hours, so having music makes it much easier to endure.. The Tab 7 was quick and easy to setup, about 10 minutes on the charger and I was off to the races. I also have another Tab 7 which is 4 years old, and the difference between that one and this one is very clear. The display seems to be brighter, clearer and sharper. The response of the Tablet is very good everything pops up quickly with no real lag, and the network connection with 5 gig seems much faster than the older 2.4 Gig. I am very happy with the Tab 7 and would recommend it for anyone wanting a smaller compact great performing Tablet, come with Android 11 and should be up graded to Android 12 sooner than later.. Nothing but a better refinement of my earlier Tab 7 very nice, and at a fair price.
