Pros: Decent color. Good refresh rate and resolution. Good deal if you get a working monitor. Cons: Issues with intermittent “flashing” or flickering with a portion of the screen. A portion on the left half of my monitor keeps flashing a gray square box randomly and every troubleshooting attempt to narrow the problem down keeps pointing to an issue with the monitor or power delivery system. Happens with any input source (pc, gaming console, etc) port (displayport and hdmi) and power outlet. Overall Review: Given the recent history of QA disasters from Gigabyte any purchase from them seems to be a massive gamble at the moment. I gave them a chance and I lost. Gigabyte’s customer service has a very poor reputation so I’d advice giving this a pass, even if the monitor is tempting at the price point. Not worth the headache.

Overall Review: Given the specs and price, this is an awesome monitor, however, it came with a dead pixel. It’s only visible when I have a dark screen, but I’m a dark mode user and it’s right at eye level. I’ve heard some bad dead pixel stories about the M27Q, so maybe I lucked out only having 1. I’m sending a RMA request, hopefully I don’t have any dead pixels on my replacement. Edit: I got my replacement monitor, and the first thing I notice is a completely dead pixel at about the same location. Either I’m extremely unlucky or this Gigabyte has some really bad quality control issues with this monitor. I’m gonna run this monitor over the weekend to see if the pixel fixes itself, then try to get it replaced again.

Overall Review: Bought this monitor after watching several Hardware Unboxed videos recommending it. I was wary of some of the other product reviews mentioning Gigabyte’s poor quality control, but figured they were probably just a few unlucky cases. Welp, I just turned the monitor on, and it has at least 3 dead pixels. Not a great start. Upon further inspection, it looks like some dust also got trapped behind the glass when this monitor was being manufactured, so there are a couple of intrusive grey spots in the middle of the screen that I can’t do anything about. Just started the Newegg RMA process. Hopefully I can get a replacement that doesn’t have these issues, given this monitor seems seems quite awesome if I ignore all of the manufacturing defects. Unfortunately, getting a replacement is probably unlikely given Newegg’s RMA policy and how rarely this monitor seems to be in stock. Ultimately, while this monitor may seem enticing, I would avoid it unless you really don’t mind going through Newegg’s RMA process.
