Pros: Extremely lightweight Great camera for price (remember this is a $99 drone) Battery life Cons: Poor controller support (I bought GameSir G4 because Ryze said GameSir’s are compatible…Not the case and does not work) <-maybe they will add support in the future but it makes the controller purchase useless WiFi password (Mine reboots after setting the password and Marvel Micro AP comes up and DHCP seems to be broken. Must factory reset to correct!) Positioning system (works great in bright florescent lights when at work but at home in normal light functioned poorly) I guess mixed feelings on the positioning system. Settings menu (all other menus looks great but settings menu has tiny text for such little options) Overall Review: Additions- Streaming to Youtube or Twitch from app <—-App would be so amazing with this feature Overall great drone but hope Ryze fixes a few things with firmware updates soon! Cant get 4 star because settings text is way to small compared to other menus in the app. Cant get 5 star because no in app streaming to YouTube or Twitch. Other than that Great job Ryze!! Just have a few things to tighten up. Before I forget, fix the Chinese character still hanging around in the menus… you know where it is 😉

Now, it’s not great for picture/video quality, however it is sufficient for the price point and just having fun while learning. If you tried other entry-level drones in the past, but gave up due to frustration, you should give this a try. Controls via phone app are okay, but much better with a paired game controller for sure. Try it. You won’t regret this purchase and you’ll actually use it more than just crashing into various objects in your house.

Great little drone for the price. Purchased for husband as birthday gift. He loves it. Surprised at how easy the download to phone was and how easy it is to operate. Takes great photos. Much better than I expected. If you are looking for an inexpensive drone this is a great buy.

Great little DJI drone. I opted for a third party app that has numerous other features for an extra 6$ on the PlayStore. I recommend a controller along with a smart phone. Works well.

Pros: Extremely Stable for being so small and light weight, decent flight time with one battery (is it ever long enough?) Easy to pack along for anywhere fun. Great Price here at Newegg, even at $99 (DJI price) it’s a lot of fun for the buck! Cons: not really a con but.. Should come with two batteries, one at 13 min flight time is just not enough. Not that it will cost an egg but it recharges battery in the unit so no flying while charging if you had multiple batteries. Again not going to take an egg for it but the camera is not something to write home about. Works well for flight and if you do need a snapshot but its going to be low quality compared to what cameras can do now a days. Overall Review: I have a DJI Phantom 3 Standard too got this for in the house during winter time, its becoming my favorite! I’ve actually flown this more times in the first two weeks than i have the Phantom 3 in two years. Its just so much fun and so easy to fly using the phone app. Will definitely be getting another battery or two maybe another Tello even!

After playing around for a little while with cheaper drones. I went ahead and bought this Tello. I wished I would have bought this first. There is no comparison in the cheaper ones to this. The altitude hold and sensors are great. Control is precise. I also purchased a Gamesir controller for this drone and that makes flying even more fun. Just a lot of quality built into this GREAT product. I would really recommend this for beginners just because of the quality built in to the frame. I have crashed it a few few times and have not even broke a propeller. The cheaper drones seem to break prop guards and propellers on every crash. You get what you pay for….. The product has excellent camera and is very stable but the wifi range is shockingly low. I can barely go 10 meters without wifi warnings of low signal. The drone itself can fly a distance about as high as a street light but beyond that the signal dies. The signal for camera dies way before then.

Guess I should have known better than to buy a remanufactured product. Assembled the product, put the battery in to charge. Saw the light blink to indicate it was charging, but when I came back to it the next day, nothing. Press the button to turn it on and nada, so can’t get it connect to the app to fly it. Wasted $100.

Drone easier to fly and land. Does more than I thought it would. It does a flip which all my friends got a kick out of. Would recommend to anyone starting out. Very easier to hook up to WiFi and Bluetooth. Very happy with purchase.

This is by far the best mini indoor drone at any price. The quality and durability of this drone is unreal. It flies like an expensive GPS drone with accurate controls. I fly this drone on a regular basis when I am unable to get outside and fly any of my larger and professional quality drones just to keep in practice. It also is one of the best learning drones in the market, you can do all sorts of programing with just a few add ons.
