Pros: Incredible HDR performance!! Cons: Bloom is noticeable in some menus, or games with poorly optimized HDR. 99% of the time I don’t notice however. Overall Review: Definitely recommend if you, like me, needed a 4k 32 inch gaming monitor.

Pros: HDR is stunning. Incredibly bright and detailed. Not the dim experience HDR400 or 600 is. The 1,100+ local dimming zones make a huge difference. Horizon Zero Dawn, FS2020, AC:Valhalla are examples. 32″ is the sweet spot for 4K as a daily/gaming monitor. I am finishing some playthroughs I started with my 1440p and the level of detail in landscapes and characters is still amazing. G-Sync Ultimate (hardware module present) is a far better experience than G-Sync Compatible. Even when pounding on this with a demanding title @ 4k with RTX on (I have 3090) I never see tearing or jerky motion. Cons: Out of the box there is noticeable (and for me distracting) haloing around the mouse cursor on dark backgrounds or scenes. I mean it’s REALLY noticeable. There is a ‘fix’ and you can adjust the level of variable brightness so reduce (but never completely eliminate) the halo effect. There is noticeable light blooming at all 4 corners of the monitor from the backlights. Only when the monitor is dark. I have not found a means to eliminate that. No HDMI 2.1. Not an issue for me. I don’t/won’t use with a console. I’ve never used a GPU with HDMI. The price is absurd. Should be $1,000 cheaper. Overall Review: I would recommend this monitor under the following conditions: You are looking for a long-term 4K gaming/content partner. Screen is excellent, color is excellent, brightness is excellent. You don’t have a use case for HDMI 2.1 You either don’t mind or can justify paying $1,000 more than this monitor should cost. I use a single-monitor desktop. I wanted a ‘no holds barred’, ‘check all the boxes’ replacement for my trusty 6 year old ASUS ROG Swift PG279Q. This is that monitor for me.

Pros: The display itself is gorgeous. Very bright colors. Smooth refresh rate. Cons: There is some noticeable bloom at times when youre just using the display regularly and moving the cursor on your screen, for example.. and Ive seen a lot of people complain about this. It wasnt a huge deal to me though. Overall Review: I was actually very happy with this display, but my unit came defective with a small section of dead leds. Im leaving my review as an appropriately rated 1 egg review because for the cost of this display, it seems unacceptable to me that I would get a defective unit. Note to buyers: research the failure rate on these things, apparently this is a big problem with this display. Other than the unit being defective, its a solid monitor.
